Ulysse Nardin #FREAKMEOUT Event in Moscow

Swiss luxury watch manufacture Ulysse Nardin hosted its event in one of the most mystique historic mansions of Moscow - Troyka Multispace. Freak Vision and Freak Out collection had all of the attention during a cozy spring night.

Common presentation is no good for Feak, and this evening they fell in their element: a sea of light, sound and modern technology. Extraordinary, eccentric, rebellious... this collection is for trendsetters, free spirits and true adventurers, so especially for them this night the mansion was fully reconstructed into a night club: guests were invited to the virtual reality, lasers, smoke, 3D mapping and live DJ sets performed by famous musicians: Doyeq, ISHOME, Fabrizio Rat and pianist Nikola Melnikov ...

  • Fabrizio Rat is a techno pianist and producer. He is one of those, who tries to renew the approach towards the instrument.

  • Nikola Melnikov - 25-year old Russian pianist, sound producer, sound designer, DJ and composer from Moscow. One of the most promising young Russian composers and improvisers Gnesin's Academy graduating class student 18 of 22 years devoted to piano music.

  • Andrei Antonets - aka 0id - Alexandroid instantly became one of the brighter spots on the Russian experimental electronica scene. Bands like Fizzarum, Sintetika, and EU were influenced by the sound of Alexandroid

  • ISHOME - She cuts, slices, play, programs and mixes it all together by herself making a soothing mixture of complex broken beats, ambient atmos, quirky pop vocals and ground moving grooves.

In the attempt to challenge the daily reality, guests left their doubts behind and entered the Freak world, ready to explore the mysterious world of the new Freak Out collection first introduced in Russia during the evening: Freak architecture replaces traditional anchor and anchor wheel with two silicium impulse wheels in the center. Both wheels have 18 engaging teeth, each activating an alternator that transmits its energy to the balance staff — first in one direction, then the other. Requiring no lubrication, the structure ensures that force is always released in the direction of the balance rotation, thereby minimizing friction. The silicium hairspring beats at 28,800 vibrations per hour (4 Hertz) and is only very slightly disturbed. The amount of disturbance is reduced to a minimum thanks to the low lift angle.
